St. Gemma's Reliquary

A TRUE FIRST-CLASS RELIC OF A MYSTICAL SAINT

Saint Gemma Galgani

Saint Valentine's is proud to display the authenticated and documented First-Class relic of Saint Gemma Galgani. Saint Gemma is venerated in the Roman Catholic Church and was canonized a saint in the modern day. Living only to be 25 years old, the saint died of tuberculosis after experiencing mystical visions of Jesus and her guardian angel.

Saint Gemma was profoundly dedicated to the Passion of Christ, which she experienced herself in her own body. Christ permitted her to receive the Stigmata, also. Many of her visions and ecstasies are recorded in her personal diary, which is available to read online. Many good biographies are written on the saint, also.

   What is a First-Class Relic?

A First-Class Relic is a venerable remain of a saint's earthly body. The meditation society possesses the scalp tissue of St. Gemma. The relic is documented and authenticated by the Order of Passionists, which is a Roman Catholic religious order. The documentation is always present with the relic.
