What To Expect During Meditation

Please join us for meditation during our Sunday services and at other specified times.

Meditation is a silent activity. Phones should be kept on 'Do Not Disturb' and conversation is not permitted.

Please arrive promptly to the start of the meditation at the time specified. Newcomers are encouraged to attend a brief newcomer's instruction. Instruction occurs 15 minutes before all meditations and by request.

Latecomers are welcome to join anytime during the meditation provided they enter quietly. All meditators are permitted to leave for any reason at any time, provided they do so silently.

While we do not reject anyone except for extreme disruptions, comfortable and modest clothing is encouraged so as to help all of our members stay focused.

Meditation takes time to master, so do not be discouraged.  Most of all - relax and be at peace.

What to Expect for Sunday Services

Sunday services always include meditation. A brief talk may be offered by someone in-house or by a guest speaker. Readings may be given. Classical hymns are typically sung with cantor and organist.

Please arrive at anytime. The same rules for late entrances apply when the meditation is occurring.

What to Expect for Special Masses

We are often blessed with guest priests and bishops of Old Catholic and Anglican denominations. In accordance with church tradition, please attempt to arrive at least for the consecration if you wish to receive communion.

Communion is offered to all baptized Christians.

Communion etiquette is encouraged. A wholehearted and perfect act of contrition is encouraged before receiving communion, if one does not arrive during the general absolution. Communion may be received on the tongue or in the hand. Please take care to avoid crumb formation. Intincture (dipping the host within the chalice) is the traditional form and may be done by the priest or the communicant.
